We do not ask for or collect personal information. There are no accounts. Your scores, favourites and preferences are stored in your own browser and are never transmitted to us.
1. Who we are
Retro Arcade Hub operates the website at retroarcadehub.xyz. For any privacy question, contact hello@retroarcadehub.xyz.
2. Information we collect directly
None. There is no registration, no login, no newsletter signup and no user profile on this site. We do not ask for your name, email address, age, location or any other personal detail in order to play the games.
The one place you can send us information is the contact form, and only if you choose to. If you email us or use that form, we receive whatever you put in the message — typically your name, email address and the content of your enquiry — and we use it solely to respond to you.
3. Information stored in your browser
The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember things between visits. This data stays on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to read it.
| What is stored | Why | Key |
|---|---|---|
| Best score, time, level and combo per game | So you can see your personal records | rah:best:<game-id> |
| Your favourites list | To populate the favourites page | rah:favorites |
| Recently played games | To populate the recently played page | rah:recent |
| Count of games you have started | To order your own popular-games view | rah:plays |
| Sound and screen-effect preferences | So settings persist between visits | rah:prefs |
That is the complete list. No identifiers, no tracking values, no personal information. You can inspect and delete all of it at any time — see the cookie and storage policy, which includes a one-click delete button.
4. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. If an advertising network is activated in future it will set its own cookies, and this policy and the cookie policy will be updated to describe exactly what those are before that happens.
5. Analytics
At the time of writing this site runs no analytics service. No page-view tracking, no behavioural analytics and no third-party measurement scripts are loaded.
If we add analytics we will choose a privacy-respecting provider, disclose it here with the provider's name, and update the cookie policy accordingly.
6. Advertising
The site is built with clearly labelled advertising containers. At the time of writing no advertising network is active and those containers are empty.
If advertising is activated, the network — most likely Google AdSense — may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may collect data according to its own privacy policy, which is outside our control. We will name the provider here and link to its policy before any such code is added.
7. Third-party services
The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, images or trackers. All CSS, JavaScript and assets are served from this domain. This is a deliberate choice: it keeps the site fast, and it means no third party receives your IP address simply because you loaded a page here.
The exception, if you use it, is the browser's native share sheet — which is provided by your operating system, not by us.
8. Server logs
Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs including IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, as essentially all web hosting does. These are used for security and operational purposes and are retained according to the provider's standard retention period. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
9. Children
This site is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — because we do not collect personal information at all. If you believe a child has sent us personal information via the contact form, email us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights over personal data held about you, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
In practice, we hold personal data about you only if you have emailed us or used the contact form. To have that deleted, email hello@retroarcadehub.xyz. Data held in your own browser is entirely under your control and can be cleared from the cookie policy page or through your browser settings.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, particularly if analytics or advertising are added. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
